Your Power Partners

Our Global Partners are on the ground. In the trenches. You are in the villages the world has forgotten. We can not do this without you. You have been here. You stayed here. No one else would. No one else dared. You believe it’s worth it. Power Partners are the women you know. You know exactly who she is. She stands out, not for what she has or where she came from, but for where she is going and for who she is determined to be. Resilient, powerful, capable, willing to do what it takes for her family. Not just to survive, but to thrive. You know her for her smile and for the drive you see in her eyes. The energy she brings to every one around her. She is power.

On The Ground partners are responsible to help the Power Partners record a thank you video of the woman receiving the SpinGen for their Power Partner who purchased.

The video will be minted into a digital art NFT along with images or videos from our celebrity partners. The Power Partner who purchased the generator will be able to hold their digital art NFT or sell it to raise more funds for generators.

ARTICLE FOR BUZFEED AND OTHERS…

Can we help the poorest people on Earth get out of poverty?

We think so! Not everyone, of course, but first we need to understand what they really need, and take a hard look at charity and welfare programs. Why have they failed for over 100 years?

Microfinance programs like Kiva.org have proven that microloans, which pay investors back with interest, are a much better model than donations because they incentivize people to keep giving. Muhammad Yunus, the Bangladeshi who created microfinance, even won a Nobel Peace Prize, but mismanagement of funds is still a very big problem.

Heifer.org lets you “Send-A-Cow” to create a small business which prevents mismanagement of funds. This creates a daily source of profit and leads to other income, but it’s not the perfect fit for everywhere, and it still relies on donors. There needs to be for-profit business models that create partnerships with the poor, not welfare. The poor need Trade-NOT-Aid.

Habitat For Humanity Habitat.org and DomesForHumanity.org both require families to make an effort by showing up to build homes before they will build one for them. Dignity is very important.

TheSpinGen.com is a survival hand powered generator that needs no fuel, no solar panels, and no batteries. They focus on creating small phone charging businesses with a new hybrid partnership/microfinance model.

One billion people lack access to basic power.

Families burn kerosene or diesel fuel in Coke bottles to provide light for their children to study. The smoke is comparable to four packs of cigarettes per day.

It’s difficult to imagine, but 3.2 MILLION PEOPLE DIE EVERY YEAR from kerosene related illness and burning in their sleep when these bottles overheat and break.

Most of us take basic electricity for granted and are rarely prepared. Supply chains can fail, and gas prices can soar, turning gas generators into very expensive paperweights.

A SpinGen will not power air conditioning or refrigerators, but it will light up your entire house and power essential devices, batteries, and phones.

When you buy one for $330 they give one to a woman living on less than $1 per day without electricity.

NGO partners like HopeInternational.org find families around the world and create “Power Partners” so you can see them thrive via the website and app.

“Power Partners” run a small business charging phones and earn $20-$40 per day. $1 per day is paid back with a microloan program, so 2 more generators go to 2 more women.

This model helps them earn more in a few minutes than they usually make in a day. Women helping women, creating jobs to bring families out of poverty.

How to help:

  1. Buy one to give many.
  2. Invest any amount in the microfinance program, and make a profit.
  3. Contribute to the crowdfunding programs to share the cost with a group.
  4. Help find mobile companies to sponsor the program.
  5. Become an affiliate to help promote and earn $30 per generator.
  6. Post a #BreakerBoxChallenge video challenging your friends to turn off 1,3, & 5 on your breaker-box to get a small taste of living without power.
